A top price for Konrad Grob - as previously expected
In October 2006 Christies in New York held the auction Orientalist Art, 19th Century European Art, which included the work Travellers at Rest by Konrad Grob. The result of USD 18,000.00 (€ 14,092.23) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 18,000.00 – 25,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Travellers at Rest is the most expensive artwork by Konrad Grob that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Im Oktober 2006 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Orientalist Art, 19th Century European Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Travellers at Rest von Konrad Grob zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 18.000,00 (€ 14.092,23) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 18.000,00 – 25.000,00. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Travellers at Rest das teuerste Kunstwerk von Konrad Grob, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
