Despite a disappointment, a good price for Komai Genki
In November 2002 a collector was able to acquire the work Unknown by Komai Genki for GBP 4,780.00 (€ 7,485.23). This price was achieved in the auction JAPANESE ART AND DESIGN at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 7,000.00 – 10,000.00 set by the auction house. Despite this disappointing result, Unknown is the most expensive artwork by Komai Genki that we have observed at auction so far.
Trotz Enttäuschung ein guter Preis für Komai Genki
Im November 2002 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Unknown von Komai Genki für GBP 4.780,00 (€ 7.485,23) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion JAPANESE ART AND DESIGN bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 7.000,00 – 10.000,00. Trotz dieses enttäuschenden Ergebnisses ist Unknown das teuerste Kunstwerk von Komai Genki, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
