Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2004 Christies in London held the auction AT HOME - BRITISH AND CONTINENTAL PICTURES, which included the work Chateau Gaillard, Les Andelys by Kit Barker. The price achieved of GBP 155.35 (€ 234.77) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 25.00 – 200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Kit Barker achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Sans titre in March this year with an auction result of EUR 2,805.00.

Im Juli 2004 führte Christies in London die Auktion AT HOME - BRITISH AND CONTINENTAL PICTURES durch, in der auch die Arbeit Chateau Gaillard, Les Andelys von Kit Barker zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 155,35 (€ 234,77) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 25,00 – 200,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Kit Barker erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Sans titre im März diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 2.805,00.
