Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Waterdrops No.16 by Kim Tschang-Yeul was sold in the 20th/21st Century Art Evening Sale auction at Christies in Hong Kong in May this year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 5,000,000.00 – 8,000,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 5,040,000.00 (€ 604,099.87) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Kim Tschang-Yeul have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in May 2021 the work Csh I was auctioned for HKD 9,850,000.00 (€ 1,041,221.09).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Waterdrops No.16 von Kim Tschang-Yeul wurde im Mai diesen Jahres in der Auktion 20th/21st Century Art Evening Sale bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 5.000.000,00 – 8.000.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 5.040.000,00 (€ 604.099,87) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Kim Tschang-Yeul konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Mai 2021 die Arbeit Csh I für HKD 9.850.000,00 (€ 1.041.221,09) versteigert.
