This artwork by Kim Sung Jin achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2006. In the Asian Contemporary Art auction, the work The Lip - I, The Lip - II sold for HKD 120,000.00 (€ 12,053.30) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 55,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Kim Sung Jin; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot So Sorry II sold at auction in May 2011 with the realized price of HKD 200,000.00 (€ 17,890.93).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Kim Sung Jin erzielte im Mai 2006 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Asian Contemporary Art wurde die Arbeit The Lip - I, The Lip - II für HKD 120.000,00 (€ 12.053,30) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 55.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Kim Sung Jin; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit So Sorry II im Mai 2011 mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 200.000,00 (€ 17.890,93).
