A top price for Kim Foon - as previously expected
In March 2013 Christies in New York held the auction Japanese and Korean Art, which included the work Mother and child by Kim Foon. The result of USD 5,000.00 (€ 3,901.37) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Mother and child is the most expensive artwork by Kim Foon that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Im März 2013 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Japanese and Korean Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Mother and child von Kim Foon zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 5.000,00 (€ 3.901,37) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Mother and child das teuerste Kunstwerk von Kim Foon, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
