Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Khaled Al-Rahhal could be acquired at Christies in Dubai in October 2015 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Modern & Contemporary Art auction, this work without title changed hands for USD 18,750.00 (€ 16,980.62) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 25,000.00 – 30,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Khaled Al-Rahhal - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Seated Woman, which sold at auction in October 2007 for USD 58,600.00 (€ 40,503.18).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Khaled Al-Rahhal konnte im Oktober 2015 bei Christies in Dubai für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Modern & Contemporary Art wechselte diese Arbeit ohne Titel für USD 18.750,00 (€ 16.980,62) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 25.000,00 – 30.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Khaled Al-Rahhal mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Seated Woman beobachtet, die im Oktober 2007 für USD 58.600,00 (€ 40.503,18) versteigert wurde.
