Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Kenichi Yokono achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2008. In the Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) auction, the work Lost 1 & 2 sold for HKD 271,500.00 (€ 22,351.64) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 130,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Kenichi Yokono - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Bear Head, Skate Boarder, Girl's Peace & MAIKO, which sold at auction in November 2007 for HKD 547,500.00 (€ 47,861.52).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Kenichi Yokono erzielte im Mai 2008 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) wurde die Arbeit Lost 1 & 2 für HKD 271.500,00 (€ 22.351,64) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 130.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Kenichi Yokono mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Bear Head, Skate Boarder, Girl's Peace & MAIKO beobachtet, die im November 2007 für HKD 547.500,00 (€ 47.861,52) versteigert wurde.
