Auction result well in line with expectations

It changed hands for a price of GBP 3,750.00 (€ 4,432.06) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 3,000.00 – 4,000.00. Other works by Kawai Kanjiro have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in September 2019 the work Two cobalt ground vases with raised slip decoration was auctioned for USD 6,950.00 (€ 6,373.22).

Die Arbeit A Stoneware Bowl von Kawai Kanjiro kam im Dezember 2019 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 3.750,00 (€ 4.432,06) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 4.000,00. Andere Arbeiten von Kawai Kanjiro konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im September 2019 die Arbeit Two cobalt ground vases with raised slip decoration für USD 6.950,00 (€ 6.373,22) versteigert.
