This artwork by Kasparus Karsen achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in March 2006. In the 19th Century European Pictures including Russian Pictures auction, the work Trading Vessels On A Dutch Canal sold for GBP 3,120.00 (€ 4,470.40) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Kasparus Karsen achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A view of Katwijk village with the Groot Badhotel in the background in April 2003 with an auction result of EUR 45,410.00.

Dieses Kunstwerk von Kasparus Karsen erzielte im März 2006 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 19th Century European Pictures including Russian Pictures wurde die Arbeit Trading Vessels On A Dutch Canal für GBP 3.120,00 (€ 4.470,40) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 1.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Kasparus Karsen erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A view of Katwijk village with the Groot Badhotel in the background im April 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 45.410,00.
