Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2016 Christies in New York held the auction Living With Art, which included the work Before Bath by Károly Patkó. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 18,000.00 – 2,500,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 32,500.00 (€ 29,459.75) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Károly Patkó have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in March 2011 the work Paysage D' Italie, 1930 was auctioned for EUR 47,628.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2016 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Living With Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Before Bath von Károly Patkó zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 18.000,00 – 2.500.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 32.500,00 (€ 29.459,75) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Károly Patkó konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im März 2011 die Arbeit Paysage D' Italie, 1930 für EUR 47.628,00 versteigert.
