In October 2012 Il Ponte held the auction Important Paintings of the XIX Century | Asian Works of Art, which included the work Paesaggio con figure by Karóly Markó. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 1,100.00 57% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Karóly Markó have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Vita campestre, 1849 in June 2004 with an auction result of EUR 8,060.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 57 % übertroffen
Im Oktober 2012 führte Il Ponte die Auktion Important Paintings of the XIX Century | Asian Works of Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Paesaggio con figure von Karóly Markó zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 1.100,00 und damit 57% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Karóly Markó auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Vita campestre, 1849 im Juni 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 8.060,00.
