In August 2004 Christies in London held the auction British and Continental Pictures, which included the work A Young Couple With A Baby In A Rural Setting by August Splitgerber. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 700.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 717.00 (€ 1,061.17). Other works by August Splitgerber have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of EUR 2,070.00 in December 2002 for the work Bergkapelle in sommerlicher Landschaft.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im August 2004 führte Christies in London die Auktion British and Continental Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Young Couple With A Baby In A Rural Setting von August Splitgerber zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 700,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 717,00 (€ 1.061,17) einen neuen Besitzer.
