Upper estimated price slightly exceeded

The work An original sketch for fashion | Croquis de mode original by Karl Lagerfeld was auctioned at Sothebys in Paris in July last year. It achieved a price of EUR 1,764.00 exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 18 %. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Karl Lagerfeld achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Sans titre in December 2021 with an auction result of EUR 52,500.00.

Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen

Die Arbeit An original sketch for fashion | Croquis de mode original von Karl Lagerfeld kam im Juli letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in Paris zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von EUR 1.764,00 und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 18 %. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Karl Lagerfeld erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Sans titre im Dezember 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 52.500,00.
