Auction result well in line with expectations

The work Affiche de l'exposition "Karl Lagerfeld Photographies" by Karl Lagerfeld was auctioned at Artcurial in October last year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 200.00 – 250.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 210.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Karl Lagerfeld achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Sans titre in December 2021 with an auction result of EUR 52,500.00.

Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen

Die Arbeit Affiche de l'exposition "Karl Lagerfeld Photographies" von Karl Lagerfeld kam im Oktober letzten Jahres bei Artcurial zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 200,00 – 250,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 210,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Karl Lagerfeld erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Sans titre im Dezember 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 52.500,00.
