The work The Artist'S Family by Karl Joseph Agricola was sold in the Old Master and British Drawings auction at Christies in New York in January 2015. The price achieved of USD 25,000.00 (€ 22,143.49) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, The Artist'S Family is the most expensive artwork by Karl Joseph Agricola that we have observed at auctions so far.
