Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In April 2021 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Master Paintings and Portrait Miniatures, which included the work Portrait Of A Knight Of Malta by Karl Josef Raabe. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 800.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 882.00 (€ 1,014.56). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Karl Josef Raabe - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Portrait Of A Lady, which sold at auction in December 2019 for GBP 2,250.00 (€ 2,659.24).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im April 2021 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Old Master Paintings and Portrait Miniatures durch, in der auch die Arbeit Portrait Of A Knight Of Malta von Karl Josef Raabe zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 800,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 882,00 (€ 1.014,56) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Karl Josef Raabe mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Portrait Of A Lady beobachtet, die im Dezember 2019 für GBP 2.250,00 (€ 2.659,24) versteigert wurde.
