In September 2013 Christies in London held the auction 19th Century European Art Including Orientalist Art, which included the work A Stroll Along The Dunes by Karl Emil Mücke. The price achieved of GBP 1,500.00 (€ 1,793.02) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,200.00 – 1,800.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, A Stroll Along The Dunes is the most expensive artwork by Karl Emil Mücke that we have observed at auctions so far.
