Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A Winter Landscape With Children Playing On The Ice by Karel la Fargue was sold in the Old Master and British Drawings and Watercolours auction at Christies in London in December 2014. The price achieved of GBP 1,188.00 (€ 1,529.35) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Karel la Fargue - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Tollbridge over the canal De Vliet, which sold at auction in April 2001 for GBP 3,525.00 (€ 5,682.74).

Die Arbeit A Winter Landscape With Children Playing On The Ice von Karel la Fargue wurde im Dezember 2014 in der Auktion Old Master and British Drawings and Watercolours bei Christies in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.188,00 (€ 1.529,35) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Karel la Fargue mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Tollbridge over the canal De Vliet beobachtet, die im April 2001 für GBP 3.525,00 (€ 5.682,74) versteigert wurde.
