Here, the upper estimate of GBP 3,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 3,250.00 (€ 4,250.87). Admittedly, works by Karel Breydel have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Große flämische Dorflandschaft mit reicher Staffage in November this year with an auction result of EUR 30,240.00.

Die Arbeit A wooded landscape with a cavalry skirmish and a village under attack von Karel Breydel kam im Februar 2008 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 3.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 3.250,00 (€ 4.250,87) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Karel Breydel auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Große flämische Dorflandschaft mit reicher Staffage im November diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 30.240,00.
