Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Untitled, 1958 by Kai Lindemann was auctioned at Bruun Rasmussen in August this year, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of DKK 3,000.00 – 4,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for DKK 1,500.00 (€ 201.22). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Kai Lindemann achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Landscape from Southern France with mountains in the horizon in January 2024 with an auction result of DKK 16,000.00 (€ 13,983.57).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Untitled, 1958 von Kai Lindemann im August diesen Jahres bei Bruun Rasmussen versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von DKK 3.000,00 – 4.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für DKK 1.500,00 (€ 201,22) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Kai Lindemann erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Landscape from Southern France with mountains in the horizon im Januar 2024 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von DKK 16.000,00 (€ 13.983,57).
