Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled (Portrait Of A Girl) by K. G. Subramanyan was sold in the Modern & Contemporary South Asian Art auction at Sothebys in New York in March 2020. The price achieved of USD 1,000.00 (€ 906.70) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 800.00 – 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by K. G. Subramanyan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Mask, Icon, Mount, Mascot in March 2013 with an auction result of USD 185,000.00 (€ 144,350.81).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Untitled (Portrait Of A Girl) von K. G. Subramanyan wurde im März 2020 in der Auktion Modern & Contemporary South Asian Art bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 1.000,00 (€ 906,70) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von K. G. Subramanyan erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Mask, Icon, Mount, Mascot im März 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 185.000,00 (€ 144.350,81).
