In July 2020 Christies in New York held the auction South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art, which included the work Still Life with Chicken 1 by K. G. Subramanyan. The »bidding war« ended at USD 9,375.00 (€ 7,962.46), 34% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by K. G. Subramanyan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Mask, Icon, Mount, Mascot in March 2013 with an auction result of USD 185,000.00 (€ 144,350.81).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 34 % übertroffen
Im Juli 2020 führte Christies in New York die Auktion South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Still Life with Chicken 1 von K. G. Subramanyan zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 9.375,00 (€ 7.962,46) und damit 34% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von K. G. Subramanyan erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Mask, Icon, Mount, Mascot im März 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 185.000,00 (€ 144.350,81).
