The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 10,710.00 (€ 10,781.16) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Justus de Verwer have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in April 2013 the work A River Estuary With Light Shipping In A Strong Breeze, A View Of Haarlem Beyond was auctioned for GBP 14,375.00 (€ 16,963.33).
