Auction result well in line with expectations

The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 500.00 – 700.00, the actual price achieved of USD 512.00 (€ 484.48) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Justus Dalee have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Miniature Portrait Of Frederick H. Waste in January 2020 with an auction result of USD 4,750.00 (€ 4,281.98).

Die Arbeit Pair of Miniature Profile Portraits von Justus Dalee wurde im Oktober diesen Jahres in der Auktion Autumn Americana Collections | Bonhams Skinner bei Bonhams in Los Angeles versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 500,00 – 700,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 512,00 (€ 484,48) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
