Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2001 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction MARITIME PICTURES, MODELS AND EPHEMERA INCLUDING GLOBES, which included the work Panoramic harbourview, probably Rotterdam by Jurriën Marinus Beek. The price achieved of EUR 2,350.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 1,800.00 – 2,800.00. Other works by Jurriën Marinus Beek have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in February 2004 the work Bomschuiten on the beach was auctioned for EUR 4,541.00.
