Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Portrait Of A Man Wearing A Tricorn Hat, Bust-Length, Perhaps A Self-Portrait; And Portrait Of A Woman by Jurriaan Andriessen was sold in the The I.Q. van Regteren Altena Collection Part II. Dutch and Flemish Drawings from 1500-1900 auction at Christies in Amsterdam in December 2014. It changed hands for a price of EUR 1,188.00 achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of EUR 800.00 – 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jurriaan Andriessen achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Female Figures And Children Frolicking And Resting By Antique Ruins In A Forest; Nymphs Resting Beside Water In A Lush Forest, A Stag In The Distance in April 2015 with an auction result of GBP 85,000.00 (€ 116,724.60).

Dutch and Flemish Drawings from 1500-1900 bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert.
