Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In March 2020 Sothebys in London held the auction 20th Century Art / Middle East, which included the work Jerusalem by Jumana El Husseini. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 9,375.00 (€ 10,586.30), 17% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jumana El Husseini - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Untitled (From A Poem By Samih Qassem), which sold at auction in March 2016 for USD 37,500.00 (€ 32,923.62).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im März 2020 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion 20th Century Art / Middle East durch, in der auch die Arbeit Jerusalem von Jumana El Husseini zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 9.375,00 (€ 10.586,30) und damit 17% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Jumana El Husseini mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Untitled (From A Poem By Samih Qassem) beobachtet, die im März 2016 für USD 37.500,00 (€ 32.923,62) versteigert wurde.
