Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Untitled, 1973 by Julius Hatofsky was auctioned at Bonhams in April this year. Here, the upper estimate of USD 2,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 2,040.00 (€ 1,847.83). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Julius Hatofsky - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work circa 1960, which sold at auction in July last year for USD 7,012.50 (€ 6,873.65).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Untitled, 1973 von Julius Hatofsky kam im April diesen Jahres bei Bonhams zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 2.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 2.040,00 (€ 1.847,83) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Julius Hatofsky mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit circa 1960 beobachtet, die im Juli letzten Jahres für USD 7.012,50 (€ 6.873,65) versteigert wurde.
