Auction result well in line with expectations

It changed hands for a price of GBP 1,875.00 (€ 2,174.99) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Julius Friedlænder - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work “Fiskerbørn i Begreb med at slutte en Tuskhandel”, which sold at auction in March this year for DKK 48,000.00 (€ 6,441.50).

Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 1.875,00 (€ 2.174,99) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.500,00 – 2.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Julius Friedlænder mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit “Fiskerbørn i Begreb med at slutte en Tuskhandel” beobachtet, die im März diesen Jahres für DKK 48.000,00 (€ 6.441,50) versteigert wurde.
