Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2007 Artcurial in Paris held the auction Photography "Philip Henry Delamotte, Views of the Crystal Palace, 1855", which included the work Etude De Modèle Habillé, 3/4 Dos, Circa 1853 by Julien Vallou de Villeneuve. The price achieved of EUR 2,160.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 2,000.00 – 2,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Julien Vallou de Villeneuve - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Draped nude, which sold at auction in May 2001 for GBP 2,820.00 (€ 4,727.79).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2007 führte Artcurial in Paris die Auktion Photography "Philip Henry Delamotte, Views of the Crystal Palace, 1855" durch, in der auch die Arbeit Etude De Modèle Habillé, 3/4 Dos, Circa 1853 von Julien Vallou de Villeneuve zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 2.160,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 2.000,00 – 2.500,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Julien Vallou de Villeneuve mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Draped nude beobachtet, die im Mai 2001 für GBP 2.820,00 (€ 4.727,79) versteigert wurde.
