Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A Picnic By The Shore by Julien Gustave Gagliardini was sold in the True Connoisseurship: The Collection of Ezra & Cecile Zilkha auction at Sothebys in New York in November 2020. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 3,150.00 (€ 2,636.42) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Julien Gustave Gagliardini have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Paysage de Provence in June 2007 with an auction result of EUR 14,400.00.

Die Arbeit A Picnic By The Shore von Julien Gustave Gagliardini wurde im November 2020 in der Auktion True Connoisseurship: The Collection of Ezra & Cecile Zilkha bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 3.150,00 (€ 2.636,42) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Julien Gustave Gagliardini auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Paysage de Provence im Juni 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 14.400,00.
