This artwork by Julian Barrow achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in London in September last year. In the Travel & Exploration auction, the work Victoria Memorial, Calcutta sold for GBP 2,040.00 (€ 2,321.72) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 800.00. Admittedly, works by Julian Barrow have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Santa Maria Della Salute, Venice in September 2017 with an auction result of USD 11,250.00 (€ 9,523.41).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Julian Barrow erzielte im September letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Travel & Exploration wurde die Arbeit Victoria Memorial, Calcutta für GBP 2.040,00 (€ 2.321,72) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 800,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Julian Barrow auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Santa Maria Della Salute, Venice im September 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 11.250,00 (€ 9.523,41).
