A top price for Jules Francois Pages - as previously expected
The work Chinatown San Francisco Before the Earthquake of 1906 by Jules Francois Pages was sold in the California and Western Art40th Anniversary Auction auction at Bonhams in Los Angeles in October 2020. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 4,075.00 (€ 3,498.76) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Chinatown San Francisco Before the Earthquake of 1906 is the most expensive artwork by Jules Francois Pages that we have observed at auctions so far.
