Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2007 Sothebys in Paris held the auction Old Master and 19th Century Drawings and Paintings, which included the work Lilas Et Roses Rouges by Jules Médard. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 5,000.00 – 7,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 5,040.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Jules Médard have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Nature Morte Aux Pivoinesjules Médard ; Still Life With Peonies ; Signed And Dated 1877 Lower Right ; Oil On Canvas in June 2013 with an auction result of EUR 22,500.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2007 führte Sothebys in Paris die Auktion Old Master and 19th Century Drawings and Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Lilas Et Roses Rouges von Jules Médard zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 5.040,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jules Médard auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Nature Morte Aux Pivoinesjules Médard ; Still Life With Peonies ; Signed And Dated 1877 Lower Right ; Oil On Canvas im Juni 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 22.500,00.
