Admittedly, works by Jules Coignet have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Frenchrumelihisari, The Bosphorus Beyond in April 2018 with an auction result of GBP 37,500.00 (€ 42,708.51).

Die Arbeit Breaking Waves, Le Havre von Jules Coignet kam im Oktober 2019 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 11.875,00 (€ 10.645,45) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 70%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jules Coignet auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Frenchrumelihisari, The Bosphorus Beyond im April 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 37.500,00 (€ 42.708,51).
