Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Judith Joy Ross could be acquired at Christies in London in May 2005 for an unexpectedly low price. In the PHOTOGRAPHS FROM THE COLLECTION OF JAMES DANZIGER auction, the work Untitled (Easton Portraits), 1988-90 changed hands for GBP 540.00 (€ 797.21) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Admittedly, works by Judith Joy Ross have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Untitled from Easton Portraits in April this year with an auction result of USD 6,096.00 (€ 5,521.74).
