Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2019 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Contemporary Art Asia: Art on the Runway, which included the work Living World Series by Ju Ming. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 20,000.00 – 40,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 25,000.00 (€ 2,899.54) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ju Ming achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Taichi Series - Single Whip in October 2011 with an auction result of HKD 20,820,000.00 (€ 1,922,718.86).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2019 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Contemporary Art Asia: Art on the Runway durch, in der auch die Arbeit Living World Series von Ju Ming zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 20.000,00 – 40.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 25.000,00 (€ 2.899,54) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ju Ming erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Taichi Series - Single Whip im Oktober 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 20.820.000,00 (€ 1.922.718,86).
