A top price for Józef Jarema - as previously expected
The work Cross in Sawdust by Józef Jarema was sold in the 20th Century Art: A Different Perspective auction at Sothebys in London in November 2021. The price achieved of GBP 2,016.00 (€ 2,366.97) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,500.00 – 2,500.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Cross in Sawdust is the most expensive artwork by Józef Jarema that we have observed at auctions so far.

Die Arbeit Cross in Sawdust von Józef Jarema wurde im November 2021 in der Auktion 20th Century Art: A Different Perspective bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 2.016,00 (€ 2.366,97) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.500,00 – 2.500,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Cross in Sawdust das teuerste Kunstwerk von Józef Jarema, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
