In November 2017 Sothebys in London held the auction 20th Century Art – A Different Perspective, which included the work Czech moravian Girls by Joža Uprka. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 27,500.00 (€ 31,216.59), 38% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Joža Uprka - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Going to the fields, which sold at auction in November 2019 for USD 93,825.00 (€ 85,148.38).

Im November 2017 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion 20th Century Art – A Different Perspective durch, in der auch die Arbeit Czech moravian Girls von Joža Uprka zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 27.500,00 (€ 31.216,59) und damit 38% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Joža Uprka mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Going to the fields beobachtet, die im November 2019 für USD 93.825,00 (€ 85.148,38) versteigert wurde.
