Auction result well in line with expectations
In February 2002 Christies in London held the auction BRITISH AND CONTINENTAL PICTURES, which included the work Ubersee by Josua von Gietl. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 400.00 – 600.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 411.25 (€ 671.12) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Josua von Gietl have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in May 2008 the work Ernte. was auctioned for EUR 1,250.00.

Im Februar 2002 führte Christies in London die Auktion BRITISH AND CONTINENTAL PICTURES durch, in der auch die Arbeit Ubersee von Josua von Gietl zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 400,00 – 600,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 411,25 (€ 671,12) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Josua von Gietl konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Mai 2008 die Arbeit Ernte. für EUR 1.250,00 versteigert.
