Auction result misses estimated price range
When this work without title by Joshua Neustein was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in December 2016, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 3,750.00 (€ 3,553.83). Other works by Joshua Neustein have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in December 2018 by the work Cathedral at USD 5,250.00 (€ 4,582.75).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Joshua Neustein im Dezember 2016 bei Sothebys in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 3.750,00 (€ 3.553,83) den Besitzer. Andere Arbeiten von Joshua Neustein wurden auch schon teurer gehandelt; den höchsten Preis, den wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachten konnten, erzielte im Dezember 2018 die Arbeit Cathedral mit USD 5.250,00 (€ 4.582,75).
