Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In March this year Phillips in Hong Kong held the auction 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale, which included the work UNTITLED by Josh Sperling. Here, the upper estimate of HKD 400,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for HKD 406,400.00 (€ 47,585.28). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Josh Sperling - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Team Player, which sold at auction in May 2020 for USD 118,750.00 (€ 107,001.26).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im März diesen Jahres führte Phillips in Hong Kong die Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit UNTITLED von Josh Sperling zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von HKD 400.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für HKD 406.400,00 (€ 47.585,28) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Josh Sperling mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Team Player beobachtet, die im Mai 2020 für USD 118.750,00 (€ 107.001,26) versteigert wurde.
