Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A windmill by the canal by Joseph Yelverton Dawbarn was sold in the At Home-British and Continental Pictures and Works on Paper auction at Christies in London in October 2003. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 25.00 – 200.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 58.75 (€ 85.81) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Joseph Yelverton Dawbarn have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Barges on the Seine with Notre Dame beyond in April 2001 with an auction result of GBP 528.75 (€ 852.41).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit A windmill by the canal von Joseph Yelverton Dawbarn wurde im Oktober 2003 in der Auktion At Home-British and Continental Pictures and Works on Paper bei Christies in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 25,00 – 200,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 58,75 (€ 85,81) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
