A top price for Joseph van Aken - as previously expected
In May 2007 Christies in London held the auction Scone Palace and Blairquhan The Selected Contents of Two Great Scottish Houses, which included the work A vegetable seller and his son offering wares to a lady and a cleric by a statue of Bacchus; and A vegetable and fruit market by a statue of Venus, with a town by a river beyond by Joseph van Aken. The price achieved of GBP 21,600.00 (€ 31,785.86) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 15,000.00 – 25,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, A vegetable seller and his son offering wares to a lady and a cleric by a statue of Bacchus; and A vegetable and fruit market by a statue of Venus, with a town by a river beyond is the most expensive artwork by Joseph van Aken that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Im Mai 2007 führte Christies in London die Auktion Scone Palace and Blairquhan The Selected Contents of Two Great Scottish Houses durch, in der auch die Arbeit A vegetable seller and his son offering wares to a lady and a cleric by a statue of Bacchus; and A vegetable and fruit market by a statue of Venus, with a town by a river beyond von Joseph van Aken zur Versteigerung kam. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist A vegetable seller and his son offering wares to a lady and a cleric by a statue of Bacchus; and A vegetable and fruit market by a statue of Venus, with a town by a river beyond das teuerste Kunstwerk von Joseph van Aken, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
