Sold at the lower estimate price
The work Portrait of the Architect Louis-François Petit Radel (1740-1818), half-length by Joseph-Siffred Duplessis was auctioned at Christies in New York in October 2017. The result of USD 40,000.00 (€ 34,340.66) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Joseph-Siffred Duplessis achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait Of Benjamin Franklin in January 2015 with an auction result of USD 1,445,000.00 (€ 1,279,893.71).

Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Joseph-Siffred Duplessis erzielen.
