The work The return from market; and A view of Kirstall Abbey by Joseph Rhodes was auctioned at Christies in London in June 2010. It achieved a price of GBP 3,125.00 (€ 3,800.29), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 25%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Joseph Rhodes - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work An extensive landscape with rustics resting on a track, which sold at auction in January 2008 for GBP 6,000.00 (€ 8,043.26).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 25 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit The return from market; and A view of Kirstall Abbey von Joseph Rhodes kam im Juni 2010 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 3.125,00 (€ 3.800,29) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 25%. Für andere Arbeiten von Joseph Rhodes mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit An extensive landscape with rustics resting on a track beobachtet, die im Januar 2008 für GBP 6.000,00 (€ 8.043,26) versteigert wurde.
