Bronze à patine brun clair
signé 'Pollet' sur la base, porte la marque du fondeur 'E de Labroue fbt' sur la base
Hauteur : 34 cm (13,20 in.)
Commentaire : Le plâtre original de cette figure fut exposé au Salon de 1848 et fit l'objet d'une commande en marbre par l'Etat qui sera présentée au Salon de 1850 et placée au Palais de Saint-Cloud. Le marbre fait aujourd'hui partie des collections du château de Compiègne.
Un certificat d'authenticité de l'Univers du Bronze (n° 121002) sera remis à l'acquéreur.

Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Une Heure De La Nuit by Joseph Pollet was sold in the Old Master & 19th Century Paintings and Drawings, Sculptures, Miniatures, Frames auction at Artcurial in Paris in February 2014. The price achieved of EUR 2,528.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Joseph Pollet achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work French une Heure De La Nuit (An Hour Of The Night) in May 2011 with an auction result of USD 722,500.00 (€ 502,573.73).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 2.528,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden.
