Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Hanging Gardens by Joseph Ntensibe was auctioned at Sothebys in London in October 2021. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 21,420.00 (€ 25,376.91) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Joseph Ntensibe - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Rejuvenation, which sold at auction in March 2021 for GBP 81,500.00 (€ 95,741.51).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Hanging Gardens von Joseph Ntensibe kam im Oktober 2021 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 21.420,00 (€ 25.376,91) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Joseph Ntensibe mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Rejuvenation beobachtet, die im März 2021 für GBP 81.500,00 (€ 95.741,51) versteigert wurde.
