Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Joseph Jacob von Plenck could be acquired at Christies in New York in February 2005 for an unexpectedly low price. In the THE HOUSE SALE auction, the work Icones Plantarum Medicinalium: Eight Plates changed hands for USD 960.00 (€ 723.22) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Joseph Jacob von Plenck - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Icones plantarum medicinalium: Eight Plates, which sold at auction in September 2005 for USD 1,920.00 (€ 1,592.30).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Joseph Jacob von Plenck konnte im Februar 2005 bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion THE HOUSE SALE wechselte die Arbeit Icones Plantarum Medicinalium: Eight Plates für USD 960,00 (€ 723,22) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.000,00 – 1.500,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Joseph Jacob von Plenck mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Icones plantarum medicinalium: Eight Plates beobachtet, die im September 2005 für USD 1.920,00 (€ 1.592,30) versteigert wurde.
